Okay, I haven't updated in a while, mostly because RL is eating my soul, but these two videos really amused me.

Okay, this song is so so perfect for this vid. Avril and the OC have a teen angst pop craptastic sympatico thing going on. It really brings out the Seth/Ryan USTy love, and works perfectly with the end of Season 1. This is my favorite Seth/Ryan vid. Ever. (Granted, I'm not that active in this fandom and have seen maybe 3 all told, but still: really good.)

So yeah, after seeing the fandom above you might be thinking, "WTF?" And yes, yes, the song TOTALLY DOESN'T WORK FOR GLADIATOR AT ALL, which is why this vid is so frickin' hilarious. The sheer fucked-up, mature, adult, historically drama on screen is so at odds with Avril's song (which again: whiny teen angstfest). And yet, it still somehow manages to capture Maximus/Commodus really well. I don't know how. Heh. I'm gonna go watch it again.
