I. Am going to be. In New York City. Tomorrow. MY EXCITEMENT CANNOT BE TEXTUALLY RENDERED.

I have such a ridiculous crush on NYC. As soon as we saw the skyline from the Turnpike, Meg and I started blaring Frank Sinatra singing you know what song. It was dorky and awesome and yaaayyy.


Random SGA Rec:
On the way up, Meg and I listened to hack_benjamin22's podslash reading of out_there's Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot. (I'd read it a while ago, but it was lovely to hear it again.) It's a great story, and does an awful lot with what should be a cliche Harlequin premise. out_there gives us a better look inside Rodney's head than anything I've read recently. Highly recommended. (The podslash too!)

Aw, podslash is awesome. I feel like we are standing on the edge of a new era of fandom, one where the concept of fanfiction is being expanded to include multi-media fanworks- innovative vidding techniques, trailers, graphics/text combinations, and yes, podslash. (Are you excited? 'Cause I'm excited.)

NYC was so much fun, and yeah, I'll totally call you once my schedule settles down.
