merelynI'm back at school and already I'm beginning to shift over to AIM typing mode, where everything is lower case, but with random abbreviations and perfect punctuation.
Also, I have no AC, cable, or internet in my apartment right now, but it matters not because TIM GUNN IS COMING TO MY SCHOOL IN NOVEMBER. He's coming to speak! My friend Ashley gets to have dinner with him!!
Upon hearing this, my thoughts were, in order:
1) aasdfghjkjhgfd111!1 TIM GUNN!
followed very shortly by,
2) Holy crap, what am I going to wear??
Yes, I am that shallow.
And, on the subject of Tim Gunn (he's coming here, lalala), last night's Project Runway:
I *loved* the challege. Because oh man, nothing brings the drama like adding everybody's frickin' mom into the equation.
As for Jeffrey, yes, he's a jerk, but I kind of love him anyway, first because his mom was so touchingly proud of him, but also since if I were in his position Angela's mom would have irritated the crap out of me too. But making people's moms cry? Not cool. Ever. In this argument, I came down in the middle, surprise surprise.
Also, we've finally reached the point in the show where I'm bizarrely attached to all the designers and it's going to be sad to see any of them go.
As for who won and lost: Uli, you was robbed!!! Vincent for once didn't suck, granted, but Uli's was so much more awesome.
As for Robert, yeah, saw that coming a mile away. He was the only weak link left in terms of both design and entertainment value. I loved him, and him and Kayne being bitchy together was awesome, but he has been consistently missteping lately, and he's not batshit crazy/jerky enough to add much to the drama (did you see how everyone liked him and was sad when he left? Yep, not enough drama from him). I was more sad for Kayne than anyone, though.

Date: 2006-08-24 07:13 pm (UTC)And yes, Michael is wonderful as always. I love how he was just casually like, "It's reversible. Yeah." when he had only a day to do it. As for Angela, she hasn't been that punch-her-in-the-face level of annoying to me lately, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
(Also, was I the only one that teared seriously up when Jeffrey's mom talked about how proud she was that he'd turned his life around?)
