Hey! That is why SGA has a fandom. To make up for such things. Basically, what I'm trying to say here is that YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO MOCK IT UNTIL YOU'VE SEEN MORE THAN 1 EPISODE. *crosses arms*
The highest echelons of SciFi, like Battlestar Galactica or Farscape, are actually pretty damn good about characterization. That said, I love SGA but it will never qualify as that. Anyway, forgive my "nobody hits my little brother but me" response. :)
He! Yeah, I'm not sure why, but it's hard to even imagine a scene like that happening on SGA- too touchy feely or something, I don't even know. Because the SGA equivalent of a lap breakdown would be like if Rodney called John his first name once.
Ditto. The show wouldn't be the same somehow if you couldn't watch it and be all, "OMG John just touched Rodney's shoulder!!! Did you see that? For like a whole second- OTP 4EVAH!"
I know! Whatever flaws it has, I'm impressed with this show's ability to take a look at itself and try to fix what's not working. Like Ford in Season 1.
