I'm a little late to this party, but I think they're pretty funny.
Because yeah, the outtage sucked. I'm amused that it's become one of those points in fandom history. Like the great purge of ff.net. Speaking of fandom history, here's another interesting essay. I think
stepps is totally right.
As for a life update, not much. I've got reading to do (The Memoirs of John Addington Symonds, anyone heard of him?), study abroad essays to write, a group project to research for my IT class, and a sorting ceremony for the Harry Potter club to organize. And I should be putting some time into preparing for my dS reccing stint on
crack_van, but I'm a little boggled by the whole thing.
