College Update
Aug. 23rd, 2003 08:01 pmHey all. I'm spending my second day here at college. It's been okay. There are a lot of religious sporty types here. A lot. Which kind of sucks, as I'm neither. All the people on my hall or okay, and our Orientation Aides and the RA are all really cool.
As for my roommate. Well she also really religious. But she does like showtunes and music, so it's not completely hopeless. We get on pretty well.
I haven't found in people really into English or writing yet. Also sucky. But but but- today, during lunch, I got to talking with one of my hallmates, who, up until now, has been pretty quiet. I talked to her a little last night and got the impression she was kind of snarky, which is great, because I've been having snarky friend withdraw (miss you,
tra!). Anyway, struck up a conversation with her over lunch, and she turns out to be the former President of her drama club, and a chorus dork. *cue the heavenly chorus* I had to restrain myself from shouting, "Finally!! A friggin' DQ!" And she actually has gay friends. (Which may not sound like much, but believe me, around here...) So we has a nice theatre convo. And she is a bit of a bitch. She will have to serve as a Petra patch.
Anyway, I really miss everyone back home. Hopefully, it'll pass when classes start though.
