*I saw Watchmen and it was pretty solid. It was also not the best thing that happened to me on Friday. :)
*It was actually nice out! Spring. Hi. HI.
*Sprinting like a mother at the end of a run is fun, will amusingly startle the people you blow by on the street, but it will also make your legs hate (HATE) you the next day. (Seriously, though: fun! I had no idea I could even run that fast. Yay for surprising oneself. :)
*I totally failed at doing anything lj related. I barely managed to beta the stuff I said I would beta/look over (sorry
j_apollo and
mariamme, I suck, etc. etc.)
* The only fic I've managed to read (sorry sorry sorry,
reel_merlin! There is so much awesome fic there and I haven't had time to keep up with any of it! Bad Mod! D:) is
cesperanza's latest, which is one of those given things that doesn't need a rec, but if you like The Time Traveler's Wife or Quantum Leap or John/Rodney or SGA or well-written sci-fi romance or OTP boys or any combination of the above you should go check it out if you haven't already and marvel how it takes 5 dimensions to explain John Sheppard.
*I'm going on a offsite class thingy in Pennsylvania tomorrow and Wednesday and then
lillianloop is coming to visit for the weekend (!!!11!!1!) and we're going to Altantic City on Saturday so it's possible the Livejournal Fail will continue. D:

Date: 2009-03-09 06:07 pm (UTC)(Also speaking of my fic. I'm going to spend this evening fixing the things you pointed out and maybe, kind of doing a massive rewrite of most of the fic. And then I will ask if I can send it to you again and get one last check for any massive grammer issues before finally posting it. And then I have to start with a big bang fic *fails*)
But first I'm going to go read that fic as that author is awesome and I've read all of her stories.
And lastly just to make this comment even more epic; there is nothing wrong with having a social life ;)

Date: 2009-03-09 06:23 pm (UTC)And you definitely should read that fic. It's just... *flaily hands* Speranza gives absolutely brilliant John Sheppard, which is cool since he unexpectedly turned out to be one of my favorite characters EVAH. :)
And thanks. I'd just hate to miss any good stuff here, and I feel like I can't really keep up with it lately. Maybe it's time for my first ever flist cut? I dunno. *hand wringing*

Date: 2009-03-09 07:08 pm (UTC)I am finding that I have characters who I just want to hug and pat their heads and sort of hide in my closet to keep them safe. John Sheppard is one of those :)
There have to be people who you friended for a reason that you can't even remember any more. I've had my journal for less than a year and I had moments like that which is why I'm sort of managing my flist at the moment. (Also I tend to ignore around 90% of the fic for various reasons)

Date: 2009-03-09 08:06 pm (UTC)And yes, oh John. The sad part is that I relate to his general...weirdness and emotional constipation way way more than I should. :)
There are a few people I guess, and it's not like I've never unfriended anyone here and there, but they were mostly authors I didn't follow anymore and not really anyone who had me friended back. I guess I should just get over it and focus on the people I actually comment/talk to. (Needless to say, you'll make the cut. :)
(Edited because apparently I don't know the difference between "sad" and "said" today.)

Date: 2009-03-09 08:34 pm (UTC)Emotional constipation is probably a good way to decribe John and me as well sometimes ;D
To be fair it is your journal and you can do whatever you like with it. (I would be offended if I didn't make the cut ;)
