Failing at Livejournal: Day 27

I've been totally failing at livejournal lately. I have so many "to read" tabs open in my browser at the moment that I've stopped counting them. *weeps, rends clothing* I'm going to try to be better at commenting, but I have to devote more of my work time (normally my prime livejournaling hours) to you know, work, so we'll see.

As for TV, I've also been failing at watching shows. (So what have I been doing instead? Honestly I have no idea- I went to the Dentist?) In fact, the only TV I've seen lately is Season 2 of Skins. I'm catching up! Overall I think Season 1 was a little tighter, but it was still v. enjoyable and awesome. Also, I can already tell that I'm going to be the only person in the world who freakin' LOVES Pandora. (Anyone? Anyone?)


On the bright side, I have managed to (very belatedly) post some Merlin multishipping recs over at attheroundtable. They're here if you want to check them out.

Skins! I agree that S1 was tighter, but I love the risks the writers took in S2, even if some of them were rather wobbly in execution. I ended up loving most of the stuff they did with Tony, and CHRIS MILES, I LOVE THAT BOY, and I think I was the only person on the internet who was absurdly fond of Sketch. My absolute favourite thing about S2, though, is the way it nails the leaving-for-university feeling; it's all bittersweet and gorgeous.

I ALSO LOVE AND ADORE PANDORA MOON, THAT DAFT AND LOVELY WENCH. I've not found the transition to S3 too tricky; there was a bit of a bumpy start, but most of the new characters are fabulous and there is all kinds of shipping going on, which is always funtimes. I'm all ~invested~ and shit.

I agree, S2 definitely *went there* in a way S1 didn't. And the Chris stuff (CHRIS!) and the continuance of the Sid/Tony/Michelle fucked up OT3 of awesome made me sail right over some of the bumpy stuff.

Yes on the leaving-for-university stuff. I was so glad they didn't do an American TV thing and make them all go to the Uni Down The Road.

OMG PANDORA MOON. She had me from her awesome dance moves.

Yay, I'm glad to hear S3 is good (and shippy)! I'm only half-way through the first episode but I have all the rest of them downloaded.

Pandora is brilliant :-D Her Mum was absolutely hilarious too! I'm really enjoying season 3, I've kind of got used to the new characters now, although it's a shame they couldn't do a spin-off with some of the older characters at university. Maxxie I miss you! *sob*

Yeah, I miss Maxxie. I'm only 2 episodes in, and despite my instant dislike of Cook I'm really enjoying S3. I can't wait to watch Pandora's ep!
