krazykipper tagged me, plus I have a lot of new Merlin friends around here so why not?

Welcome to the 2008 edition of getting to know your friends! Try not to be lame and spoil the fun! The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends that you might not have known! 1. What time did you get up this morning? 5:45 (Yikes. I really need to learn how to sleep in. Sigh.)
2. Diamonds or pearls? Pearls.
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Twilight. (IT’S OKAY GUYS, I WAS DRUNK AT THE TIME.)
4. What is your favorite TV show? Right now? Merlin. *happy place*
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? Depends on the time of year, but any combination of OJ, a fruit cup from the Au Bon Pain across from my office, Kashi cereal, granola bars or oatmeal.
6. What is your middle name? Anne.
7. What food do you dislike? CHEESE. (It’s a fairly arbitrary bizzare food thing. I don’t mind it melted generally- except for fondue- but I can’t *stand* it in its natural form. It’s one of those holdovers from when I was a picky three year old.)
8. What is your favorite CD at the moment? I never buy CDs anymore, but a lot of stuff from Pink’s Funhouse has become my new favorite workout music.
9. What kind of car do you drive? I used to drive a red 2000 Chevy Prism (her name was Lola), but my mom has since sold it after I moved to New York. Public transportation all the way!

10. Favorite sandwich? Peanut Butter and Jelly. I also enjoy the hummus/veggie sandwiches from Cosi/Pret a Manger. And Tomato Basil Mozzarella melts.
11. What characteristic do you despise? Egotistical self-centeredness masquerading as confidence.
12. Favourite item of clothing? Ooh, tough one. Probably my ragged grey William and Mary sweats. BURY ME IN THESE PLEASE. ;)
13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? Considering I haven’t left North America since high school, there’s a lot of places, probably England and France to start out with. I would also love to go back to Turkey.
14. Favourite brand of clothing? I do almost all of my basic shopping at H&M and Payless because I am classy (read: poor) like that.
15. Where would you retire to? Ooh, I dunno. I think I have a lot places I need to go before I figure that out.
16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? Well the last one (23! I’m so old!) involved me at a karaoke bar belting out a High School Musical duet (I’m so immature!) and also going to my favorite lesbian bar (I’m so gay!) in New York, so it was pretty cool. And my roommate got me an ice cream cake in a very nice but unexpected gesture. (I won’t give you anything if you don’t give me anything is our motto. It works.)
17. Favourite sport to watch? I don’t really follow sports too much, but I’d say Hockey if I had to pick.
18. Furthest place you are “tagging” this? Um, no clue yet.
19. Person you expect to send it back first? Uh, no idea!
20. When is your birthday? May 15th.

21. Are you a morning person or a night person? I’ve been both (I really like being awake when no one else is), but generally such a morning person. Lately I’ve been up a six am all the time.
22. What is your shoe size? US 10/9.5
23. Pets? None at the moment, though I am a cat person. I have an allergic roommate and the three of us are too collectively busy for one right now anyway.

24. Any new and exciting news you’d like to share with us? I’ve been in a really good mood for the past few weeks and I’m not entirely sure why. It’s a wee bit unsettling.
25. What did you want to be when you were little? Veterinarian. I think my sister and cousin and I were all going to become vets and open up our own practice in Texas. (Ahaha.)
26. How are you today? Sleepy. Went to bed too late yesterday.
27. What is your favourite candy? I don’t eat candy much, but I do have a weakness for Reese’s peanut butter cups/peanut M&Ms.
28. What is your favourite flower? Daisies! I also like sunflowers.
29. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to? December 21st! One of my best friends from college is getting married and it’s my first time being a bridesmaid.
30. What’s your full name? Meridith (My mom wanted Meredith, my dad wanted Melinda. Because my dad won it was going to be Melinda, but my dad changed his mind as my mom was about to fill out the birth certificate, and she panicked under the pressure and spelled it wonky. So the story goes.)
31. What are you listening to right now? People chatting over the copy machine next to my cube.

32. What was the last thing you ate? Sad can of Whole Foods generic brand of lentil soup for lunch.
33. Do you wish on stars? No, but I do like looking at them.
34. If you were a crayon, what colour would you be? Periwinkle. (It was always my favorite one.)
35. How is the weather right now? Chilly but clear. :)
36. The first person you spoke to on the phone today? Some random advertiser at work.
37. Favourite soft drink? I generally don’t drink a lot of soda, but I do really enjoy a ginger ale now and then.
38. Favourite restaurant? I’m indecisive and I love food so I am actually incapable of answering this question. Right now I really want a margarita pizza with garlic from Patsy’s, so let’s say that for right now.
39. Real hair colour? Light brown
40. What was your favourite toy as a child? I had a doll with a pink light up bow on her head. I have no idea what she was called. My blue Barbie convertible was pretty sweet as well.
41. Hugs or kisses? Hugs. I have personal space issues, but hugs.
42. Chocolate or Vanilla? Vanilla.
43. Coffee or tea? Coffee, though I drink both.
44. Do you want your friends to email you back? NO. DON’T TALK TO ME. :P
45. When was the last time you cried? A week or two ago on the subway. And it wasn’t full on crying, and it was also (surprisingly) the good happy kind of crying I think.
46. What is under your bed? A suitcase. A duffle bag, a few storage boxes and clothes probably.
47. What did you do last night? Went to Cosi to write some after work, but their wifi was off so I went home and watched Gossip Girl with my roommate. (Ooh la la!)
48. What are you afraid of? Being hated for who I really am.
49. Salty or sweet? Sweet.
50. How many keys on your key ring? Five- three apartment keys, one mail key, and one key to my mom’s house.
51. Favorite day of the week? Sunday.
52. If you can choose your talent, what would it be? I’d like to have better balance and dance training. Also, an awesome singing voice. And the ability to play the guitar.
53. Do you make friends easily? Mmm, sort of? I can be pretty friendly, but I can also be awkward- it depends on my mood. It takes quite a lot for me to trust people, so making close friends as opposed to acquaintances is a bit more difficult.
