Okay, it was about as good as I was expecting for a sequel to 'Irresistible', which is to say, SGA at its craptastic best, complete with clunky dialogue and characterization straight from vaguely bad fanfiction, plus sets and extras about as convincing as your high school's production of The Sound of Music. Also, Carson was (yet again) there why? Also, I was strangely thrown by the fact that the villlage had paved roads. Weird.
That said, their were things I liked:
*Continuity! All the way from Episode 1x03! Though if they were going for emotional heft, I think Common Ground should have been reflected a bit more.
*The idea of drifting ex-Genii mercenaries? Kinda cool.
*Ronon had some of the best moments of the episode. "...and I'm okay with that, by the way." "Now we don't care."
*Lucius + Koyla = Hilarity. Kinda like John and Rodney only more extreme plus they hate each other.
*OMG the John and Koyla showdown and John shot him (finally killed him) and JF's expression OMG. I just wish it had happened in a less ridiculous context. Plus, we also had the pleasure of hearing John's "KOYLA!" again.
Really, the thing that stuck with me the most? OMG the socio-political activist bar wench was evil, cat-killing Tonya from "The L Word"!! Tonya!
...
I feel bad for that actress.
Not much more to say. Eeh. This episode = filler until next week.
