GIP! New SGA icon by the lovely and talented
_thingamajigs. And, of course...
Okay. So we got there late, and we were literally sitting in the VERY FRONT ROW of the theatre. Ack.
As for the movie, sooooooo much better than the first two, OMG. There was actual drama going on! The whole Anakin/Padme thing was believable, and their dialogue didn't suck! (Well...except on occasion.) And dude, PALPATINE = BUSH. Heh. Go George Lucas. And I loved the way Vader's transformation and the twins' birth were shown parallelly (Not a word, right? Oh well). And ooh! The beginning with Obi-Wan and Anakin fighting back-to-back, and the end with them fighting each other? Very nice.
So that was just random nonsensical gushing, but overall I felt there was *stuff* going on, you know, the kind of psychological symbolically English major-y stuff that makes me go heart. It was cool. Interestingly though, a lot of the dramatic tension, and what put Ep III over the bar from good to awesome, was the fact that we *do* know how it ends and the consequences of everything, so all of the events had that much more impact.
Lastly, the Qui-Gon mention at the end? Had me giggling for a full 30 seconds. Squee!
Go see it. IT DOESN'T SUCK. I promise.
