SGA Insta-rec

I'd like to open this post by announcing that when it comes to SGA I'm a BACKSTORY WHORE. Yes. My favorite kind of McShep fic ever is the kind where it tells you all about John or Rodney and their families and them growing up. There's so many tiny hints of this in the show that remain only hints, most of them coming from "Letters from Pegasus", which have I mentioned is my favorite episode ever and I may re-watch it (again) today?

Anyway, the backstory-whore-ness is partly why I love this fic, and this fic, and more that I'm far, far too lazy to track down.

The *point* of it all, though, is that this fic, Down to You by mousewitchy, is, despite sharing the same title as a rather unfortunate Freddy Prinze Jr. film, actually wonderful and brilliant and it has Jeannie! I love this Jeannie! She's so wonderful and not a Mary-Sue at all, and just how Rodney's sister should be and the McSheppy parts are fabulous too and really just go read it now. Go.
