volsi) and having a crappy internet connection, meaning that I didn’t watch Merlin or SGA until Sunday afternoon.
*It’s nice to know that inspite of everything, Rodney can still make the “Sheppard’s with a GIRL??” face of total jealously and suspicion.
*Parrish! The mention of Lorne. Ahaha, thank you for the fanservice three years later.
*I went into this unspoiled, and I have to say the show did a pretty good job of keeping everybody (Zelenka, Kolya, Woolsey’s Dream Woman) just a little bit off without being too obvious about it.
* Mostly: Oh, John. I just. Yes it was cheesy and heavy-handed and then completely ignored in classic SGA fashion, but seriously? Oh, John.
*I am not (NOT) reading Joe Mallozi’s interpretation of the “what are you running away from” bit. I’m just not. I’m also not linking it (take THAT!) but it’s onsheafrotherdon’s lj I think it you really want to look. It’s probably delusional, but I’ve reached a point with this show where I’m a lot happier firmly ignoring everything that comes from TPTB (even the show itself sometimes). Reading that would only make me pissed off and I’m not being a masochist today.
*I am, however, choosing to go withcesperanza’s interpretation of John here (spoilers, obviously). Muuuuch better.
Being late to the recapping party, I’ve got nothing spoilery to add about Merlin 1.09, mostly just continuing to want to hug this show to my chest and braid its hair and let it run around it tacky multicolored outfits that it can pull off anyway because AWW. And next week’s episode looks AMAZING.
