Okay, popping in to share this excerpt for the upcoming novelization of SGA, Reliquary. I peeked at it, but didn't get much further, mostly because TV novelizations weird me out. They're like fanfiction, only professional and, I always suspect, not as good or not the way I see the show.

However, I couldn't help but be struck by this line:

(It's from John's POV, and he's looking at Rodney and Radek.)

Nobody was supposed to be here without a military escort, and two scientists, deeply distracted by recalcitrant Ancient machinery and oblivious to the world, definitely needed somebody to watch their backs. Or their butts, which was about the only part of them visible most of the time.

But John really didn't mind.

So yeah, John's staring at Rodney's ass and, uh, not minding.

'Kay.

I can go with that.

Hee. I just hope it's better than the novelizations for Poltergeist the Legacy-- The one didn't even get their *ages* right (um, yeah. An eight year old is suddenly 14? That's a little bit of a difference, there.) let alone all their backstory, so yeah.

But John staring at Rodney's ass, and Zelenka's? And... "not minding"...

Heh.

I know! I was skimming along, and then I got there and went, "Seriously??"
