Um, not to be judgey before I've even seen the movie, but: mostly hated it. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE BRITISH AND WELSH. They didn't change it for the Narnia film, why this one?? And if they give Will a freakin' female love interest I might have to vomit up my own spleen. Still, the kid who's playing Will seems pretty good, despite sad American-ness. And the whole Chosen One fantasy part seems like it will be alright. And it does have Christopher Eccleston. And dear old Gregory Smith, from Everwood. So I'm sure I'll see it, and maybe the trailer made it seem more like a Harry Potter ripoff than it actually is, but still. *grumbles*

We didn't get that trailer down here. That sounds disappointing. We did get The Golden Compass and Enchanted trailers, both of which look awesome.

I come bearing bad news. The makers of the Dark is Rising movie appear to have declared war on the fans of the book. The scriptwriter is quoted as saying "I think some of that sort of, the pre-Christian element or the Arthurian stuff isn't really in the script. (http://community.livejournal.com/authorblog/5880.html)" They've cut the heart and soul out of the story and replaced it with a lot of pointless violence. I could cry.

THERE'S NO ARTHURIAN STUFF IN IT? How does that even work? Ugh. The more I hear about this movie the more horribly disappointed I become.
