Okay, so I'm all set to tape the Inside Sci-Fi Friday thing. I got to turn on the TV, pop in a tape, and oh wait, what's that?

MY CABLE WENT OUT. SERIOUSLY, WTF? WORSE TIMING EVER.

Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] glass_shadow has satellite TV. We quickly headed over to her house, and we figured out how to able to program her VCR. Crisis averted. Still, I missed a good chuck of the Inside Sci-Fi Friday thing; does anyone know if you can download it anywhere?

I *was* able to catch the bit about the upcoming Rodney/Carson kiss. Heheh. Hilarity, there. Oh SGA, you are so much gayer than you look. *huggles SGA*

As for SG-1, I watched it, was kind of confused, amused by the Farscapeness. Daniel needed a shave, dominatrix girl was amusing, and I don't know how I feel about the Mitchell chacter yet. I'm not sure if I want to keep up with it. We'll see.

Finally SGA! Okay, the whole Daedalus saving Shep's ass at the last minute, beam aboard thing was a bit eh. It happened like, right away, with no time to get into the SuicideMission!Shep angst. Still, Rodney's reaction? Aww. And Elizabeth gives him a hug! They're actually kind of cute. (Platonic cute!)

*Is it just me, or does John just *not* belong on the big spaceship? He needs to be moving, flying a jumper, being all stealthy and active and just *doing something*, not pacing around on a bridge, watching them fire on ships far, far away. It was weird for me.

I do think it's interesting that SGA now has the whole big spaceship arena to play in. Let's see what they do with that.

*Ford. *sniff* I had inklings of what was going to happen from a few screencaps and bitty spoilers. Still, it was so bad seeing it in front of my eyes. The weird Alien eye- so creepy! And they way no one could look at him! And he's a junkie! I loved the scene where he almost strangled Carson. They way he looked after he came back to himself was just heartbreaking. I kept thinking of him just a few scant episodes back, grinning and saying goodbye to his grandparents. *cries* I wonder what they're going to do with him.

*John and Rodney and Zelenka have the hottest brains ever. Such an awesome plan. Still, the whole "just buying time, yep, still screwed" feeling remains. It wouldn't be SGA without it.

*Everett forgiving John? *sighs* Damn, that killed me.

*I really liked the whole sense of everyone coming together to contribute something to save the city, Teyla with the Wraith, John and the ship, Rodney and Zelenka with the cloaking, and Elizabeth being all...Elizabethy. They all just rock.

*Great episode, so much more plotty and gripping than SG-1, IMO, at least. I'll have to re-watch it and yammer on so more later; unforunately HP is eating my brain right now.
