Okay, so it was long. And it made no sense. But I mostly DIDN'T CARE AT ALL because it was swashbuckley and fun and actually quite beautifully filmed at some points. (Like Beckett's death scene- OMG GORGEOUS.)

Good Things:
*It was hella more funny and enjoyable than POTC2
*Davy Jones/Calypso- tragically fucked and awesome. Loved them!
*Elizabeth became incredibly badass. I really really really liked her, and Keira did a good job of kicking ass and taking names (something which should not surprise the other two people who saw Domino).
*Will got all tragic and became almost badass enough to deserve Elizabeth. (Almost.)
*Will/Elizabeth became OTP in a way I've never really felt/cared about until now. Well done movie for making me like them. (And making my heart go all cheesy romance novel clenchy at the bit at the end.)
*The scene where they free Calypso and Ragetti goes "You're not sayin' it right." while looking right at Pintel made my brain go places it didn't really want to go. (But HA.)
*Johnny Depp was awesome of course.
*Keith Richards was almost awesomer.
*They tied together this one back to the beginning really well.
*Geoffrey Rush cackling away at everything nearly carried the whole film.
ETA: Also, they brought back Groves as Beckett's second! Hi Groves! Though you seem like more schmuck now, I don't mind. I might re-read some Lieutenant slash to celebrate. (Though no Gillete, sadly.)

Okay, now that that's out of the way...

OMG PIRATES I HATE YOU FOREVER FOR KILLING NORRINGTON. AND I HATE YOU EVEN MORE FOR NOT BRINGING HIM BACK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK.

(Er, why, yes, I am rather excessively emotionally invested in his character, why do you ask?)

Of course, after the second one, this was really the only way for him to go (for the same reason that Percy Weasley is a goner, mark my words), but WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME, FANDOM? He was my favorite!!!! *sniffles*

Anyway, despite that part, overall I really liked it. Yay. (BOOO, SAD.)
