Hey, guys. For those of you that know what I'm talking about/care, I'm reccing dS at the crack_van this month, and I just posted my first rec. Woo! Yeah, totally doing that instead of studying for my marketing midterm.
*laughs* Yes! We got another one! *reels in fishing line* Does that mean that you'll want to watch episodes with Mere and me when we're home? *evil grin*
Mere has set up a scrumptious crack banquet for you. Also, what's up with you being "Molly" on facebook? It took me eons to find you...*frowns worriedly* At least I hope that was you.
Heheheh. If you want some more recs, I can send you a primer. And, of course, the RayK seasons, 3 and 4, are available to you. Season 4 isn't even on DVD yet, just so you know, and isn't likely to be, even in Canada, for a while. Now's who's stupid for shelling out 100 bucks for the entire series? Eh? Eh?
See what you don't understand is that I get the advantage of you being stupid and shelling out $100 bucks for the series, without sending the money. So the question is, who's the smart one?
And yes, you're still stupid for doing it. Now set me up with some recs.
Yay! Good Rec. I just reread that one recently, since I've been home, and you're right about the end scene. It's so crystal, that I can picture it happening in my head. Which is saying something, as I have the visual imagination of a squirrel. Love the quote from CotW! I'm so proud! *sniffs*
This is one of the only ones I was 100% sure I was going to rec, so I figured I ought to lead out with it. I still have no idea how the rest of the month is going to pan out. :) Plus I just found this (http://justacat.slashcity.org/DS/DSMainPage.html), probably the most extensive dS rec page ever, which means narrowing things down may well kill me.
Yeah, the ending is fabulous. I think my favorite bit part (besides the whole "one night" conversation- kills me) is, of course this:
They were about two months into the expedition when he first realized he was in love with Benton Fraser.
As screwed up as the idea was, his first reaction was relief. Yeah, it sucked, it sucked big jagged rocks, but it explained so much.
I think it's one of the greatest RayK epiphanies ever. And of course, it has one of my now favorite expressions. God, I'm lame. :)

Guh.
There's always one fic that can get me into a fandom or a pairing. That may have been it.

Working on it. It should be out to you by this afternoon. Don't expect to much description, though. :)
