Waaaaaaaaaaah!

My computer has a virus. I just dropped it off at IT to be cleaned, with it's carrying case, which is incidentally my backpack for the year. I felt somewhat like a mother dropping her kid off at kindergarten for the first time.

IT guy: Are you all set?

Me: *nods silently*

IT guy: Um. You're going to have to let go of the case.

Me: ...

IT guy: Let. Go.


When will I get it back, you ask?

They told me ten days. I'm expecting two weeks at least.

So no backpack for the first week or so of classes. No computer for 10 days, when I live in the dorm the farthest away from everything including the computer labs. No computer for Add/Drop. No computer so I can finish and post my fic. And there's always the lovely possibility that IT will have to wipe my hard drive. *Big Fake Smile*

Waaaah!!


In other news, I've got my room all set up here, and it's going to be damn cute, I'm determined. I think Ashley and I will get along fine as roomies. Yay for Ashley. And since classes don't start for two days, I've already begun hanging out and doing 'not much' with my friends. Nice. Though I'm expecting transition pangs to hit any time now.

Well I am sorry about your baby, but I'm sure it will return to you safely. Oh man, transitions, I don't know how the hell I am going to handle it in a week. Word on the street is that my ex wants to be my buddy and will be asking me to hang out once he is in Boston. Fun! NOT! We'll see about that. Well, have fun with your 'Burg friends and feel free to tell all the details about our risque summer. Including the time when you and I got completely drunk and then decided that what we needed was an entire bottle of really bad wine to go with our viewing of Circle of Friends. Oh my god, we totally have to watch that one night we you guys come up to Boston.
